A Seriously Good Summer in Pittsburgh

Summers in Pittsburgh are always loaded with family-friendly activities and outdoor events, and Erie Insurance is joining the fun this season to help Pittsburgh natives and visitors enjoy a seriously good summer.

Free Pedicab Rides
ERIE has partnered with Green Gears Pedicabs to offer free pedicab rides during popular, local events from June through September. Pittsburghers should be on the lookout for a fleet of nine ERIE-branded pedicabs with a “free rides” flag on the back for their chance to ride around town in style. Here’s when and where to look:

July 4 Pittsburgh Three Rivers Regatta and Heinz Field Fourth of July Celebration
July 12 Pittsburgh Cultural Trust Gallery Crawl and Cosmopolitan Party
July 13 Southside Exposed
July 14 Pittsburgh Pirates Kids Day

August 4 Pittsburgh Pirates Kids Day
August 18 Pittsburgh Pirates Kids Day
September 1 Pittsburgh Pirates Kids Day

September 8 Pittsburgh Steelers Season Opener (vs. Tennessee Titans)

Summer Music Lovin’
For music lovers, Erie Insurance is a sponsor of the Allegheny County Summer Concert Series featuring 27 free, live music concerts at Hartwood Acres and South Park. ERIE street teams will be on hand at select concerts – including the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra at Hartwood Acres on July 7 and David Cassidy at South Park on July 12 – to surprise and delight attendees with giveaways.

Free (and delicious) Summer Livin’

Finally, ERIE has teamed up with Wu’s Shaved Ice and Ted’s Excellent Bike Repair to giveaway free shaved ice at South Park and bike tune-ups at the Southside Riverfront Park the last Sunday of each month in June, July and August.
